Ingredients for Hara Pulao:

Basmati rice – 1 cup

Cauliflower (cut into small pieces) – 250 grams

Green peas – 150 grams

Thinly sliced potatoes – 200 grams

Cinnamon – 2 sticks

Cloves – 4

Black pepper – 7

Bay leaves – 2

Green cardamom – 2

Thinly sliced onions – 2

Thinly sliced green chilli – 2

Vegetable oil-  4 tbsp.

Paste of { green Coriander leaves, green chillies, ginger} – about 100 grams

Salt to taste

Garam Masala Powder – little

How to Make Hara Pulao Recipe:

  • Put some oil on non-stick pan and fry cinnamon, bay leaves, black pepper and cloves for half a minute on low flame
  • Add green chillies and sliced onions until they change their color. keep this mix aside.
  • To add some extra flavour, add remaining oil and fry all the vegetables for around 5 minutes.
  • Now add the paste of green chillies, coriander leaves and ginger.
  • Add fried onions mix along with garam masala and salt. Stir fry for more 5 minutes.
  • On other hand, wash the rice and cook like normal rice.

Tip: You can wash the rice and soak for at least 30 minutes, before starting this recipe you can do this step.

  • Once its cooled, add all the above ingredients to the rice.
  • Hara Pulao Recipe is ready. Serve hot dressed with chopped coriander leaves.

Tip: There is one more option which we can opt, If cooking of rice takes 30 minutes then in last 10 minutes you can add all ingredients into the rice and let it cook until it is done.
