Hara PulaoGreen Pulao in local words “hara pulao” goes well with all kinds of non-vegetarian recipes. It’s not only colorful but also healthy. Green Pulao Ingredients:

Basmati rice – 1 cup

Cauliflower (cut into small pieces) – 250 grams

Green peas – 150 grams

Thinly sliced potatoes – 200 grams

Cinnamon – 2 sticks

Cloves – 4

Black pepper – 7

Bay leaves – 2

Green cardamom – 2

Thinly sliced onions – 2

Thinly sliced green chilli – 2

Vegetable oil-  4 tbsp.

Paste of { green Coriander leaves, green chillies, ginger} – about 100 grams

Salt to taste

Garam Masala Powder – little



Method for the preparation of hara pulao:

 

  • Put some oil on non stick pan and fry cinnamon, bay leaves, black pepper and cloves for half a minute on low flame
  • Add green chillies and sliced onions until they change their color. keep this mix aside.
  • To add some extra flavour, add remaining oil and fry all the vegetables for around 5 minutes.
  • Now add the paste of green chillies, coriander leaves and ginger.
  • Add fried onions mix along with garam masala and salt. Stir fry for more 5 minutes.
  • On other hand, wash the rice and cook like normal rice.
  • Once its cooled, add all the above ingredients to the rice.
  • Hara pulao is ready. Serve hot dressed with chopped coriander leaves
