Sieve gram flour and put it in a wide vessel.

Add asafoetida, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, black pepper, salt, oil and little water.

Mix all ingredients and make a soft and non-sticky dough, Knead well.

Take a small lump of dough and put in a sev press.

In a wide kadai, heat oil and when it reaches optimum heat press sev directly into the oil.

Once it reaches golden brown color remove from oil and drain excess oil.

If you like to eat spicily then sprinkle garam masala powder/ chat masala while Spicy Sev recipe is hot.

Let it cool and then store in an airtight container.
