Clean and disinfect fish by cleaning with turmeric powder.

In a wide vessel heat oil and add fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds and mustard seeds.

Add onions and fry them till they turn translucent.

Put green chilies, sauté for a while.

Add ginger garlic paste and sauté till it leaves its rawness.

Drop curry leaves and fish pieces.

Sprinkle salt and turmeric powder as per your taste and mix well.

Cook for 5 minutes by covering the vessel with a lid.

Add tomato puree and mix well.

Once tomato turns soft, add tamarind extract.

Sprinkle red chili powder and cook further for a minute.

Garnish with coriander leaves and off the flame.
