Ingredients
  • Chicken – 4 Leg pieces
  • Buttermilk – 2 ½ cups
  • Salt – 1 tbsp.
  • Oil – to deep fry
  • Maida – 1 cup
  • Corn flour – 1 cup
  • Fried corn flakes – 1 cup
  • Red chilli powder – ½ tbsp.
  • Black pepper powder – ½ tbsp.
  • Red chili flakes – ½ tbsp.
  • Ginger powder – ½ tbsp.
  • Oregano – 1 tbsp.
  • Mix herbs – 1 tbsp.
  • Peri peri powder – ¼ tbsp.
  • Eggs – 2 No.
Instructions
  1. Clean and slit chicken leg pieces with a knife so that spices and flavors can penetrate.
  2. In a mixing bowl add sour buttermilk and a little salt. Dip chicken pieces and soak for an hour.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and let it reach 350F degrees at high temperature.
  4. Meanwhile, let’s prepare spices and flour. Add cornflour, all-purpose flour, crushed corn flakes, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, red chilli flakes, peri-peri powder, ginger powder, salt, mixed herbs, and oregano.
  5. Mix all spices and spread over a wide plate so that chicken pieces can be coated.
  6. In a mixing bowl beat 2 eggs and sprinkle black pepper powder and a pinch of salt.
  7. Dip chicken leg pieces in the egg mix and put them in the above flour mix. Coat well and keep aside.
  8. Once the oil is ready, put leg pieces in oil and deep fry till they turn a golden brown color.
  9. Remove from oil and drain excess oil on paper towel and serve KFC chicken Recipe hot.
