Tomatocoriander chutney Andhra style is one of the simple and healthy recipes which are made with tomato, fresh coriander leaves and tamarind pulp as the main ingredients.

Ingredients
  • Groundnuts – 3 tbsp.
  • Oil – 3 tbsp.
  • Green chillies – 1 cup
  • Cumin seeds/ jeera – 1 tbsp.
  • Garlic cloves – 10-12 No.
  • Tomatoes – 1 bowl
  • Tamarind – 2-inch size piece
  • Ginger – 2-inch piece
  • Salt – 1 tbsp.
  • Mustard seeds – ½ tbsp.
  • Moong dal – ½ tbsp.
  • Chana dal – ½ tbsp.
  • Dry red chillies – 2 No.
Instructions
  1. Dry roast groundnuts in a pan and transfer them to a plate and let them cool.
  2. Add 1 tbsp. oil in a pan and roast green chillies, garlic cloves and cumin seeds for a while and transfer to another plate.
  3. Put coriander leaves in the same pan and cook on low flame so that they cook and shrink without changing colour.
  4. Add tomato slices, ginger and tamarind. Close the lid and cook for a minute or two till the tomatoes turn soft.
  5. Off the flame and let them cool. Meanwhile, put ground nuts and spice mix in a mixer grinder and grind coarsely.
  6. Add tomato mix and salt and grind to a soft paste, transfer to a serving bowl.

  8. In a pan heat 2-3 tbsp. oil and add mustard seeds, dry red chillies, chana dal, moong dal and curry leaves.
  9. Pour temper over Tomato Coriander Chutney Andhra Style, mix and serve fresh.
