In a pan add 3 tbsp. oil, once its hot add chana dal, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, garlic cloves. Saute for a while till mustard seeds start spluttering.

Add finely chopped onions and curry leaves, once onions turn soft add tomatoes.

Sprinkle salt and turmeric powder, mix and close the lid. Cook till tomatoes become soft.

Add chopped okra, mix gently and cover the lid. Cook on low to medium for 5 minutes.

Once bendi turn soft, sprinkle coriander powder, sambar powder and red chilli powder. Mix well.

Cook for a minute and garnish with coriander leaves.
