Heat 3 tbsp. oil in a pan and put mustard seeds, chana dal, cumin seeds, green chillies, onions and salt.

Add ginger-garlic paste once onions turn soft. Saute for a while and add tomatoes and curry leaves.

Mix and close the lid, cook for a while till tomatoes turn soft.

Put sorakaya pieces, salt and turmeric powder. Cook for a while on low flame.

Once they turn soft, add little water and red chilli powder.

When the gravy is about to thicken, sprinkle sesame powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder.
