One can roast Dhania on low flame or can dry them in sunlight. But the roasting process will have good aroma after you powder it.

As mentioned earlier one can make powder with just coriander seeds but our version has cinnamon sticks and cloves to make mild spice powder which can be added in almost all vegetarian recipes. I have added cinnamon stick so that it helps in the cognitive functioning of the brain, good for cancer patients. Cloves bring a bit of spice to the powder.

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp. Cinnamon Sticks
  • 3 tbsp. Cloves around 25 no.
  • 1 Large bowl Coriander seeds

Instructions

  1. Usually, the roasting process takes an important role while preparing any spice powder.

  2. So as per the ingredient roasting nature, first, make small pieces of cinnamon stick and roast them.
  3. Add cloves and lower temperature and roast them.
  4. Put dhania and roast them till you feel the essence of spices.
  5. Once they are done transfer them to another bowl immediately so that they don’t get burnt.
  6. When spices get cooled and turn crisp, put them in a grinder and make a fine powder.
  7. We can simple roast coriander seeds but adding spices makes it tastier.
  8. Transfer Coriander powder in an airtight container.

How to make Coriander Powder Recipe:

  • Make small pieces of cinnamon stick and roast them at low temperatures.

  • Then add cloves and roast along with the above spice.

Tip: Never remove bulb/flower of cloves as they become soft.

  • At last, add dhania seeds as they get roast fast.

Note: We need to roast on low flame and remove from heat once you sense the aroma of the spices.

  • Transfer spices to another plate so that they get cooled before transferring to a blender.

  • Once all spices are cooled and crisp, transfer to the mixer and make a fine powder.
