In this branch, I thought of preparing Bengal gram dal salad, as you all know soaked Bengal gram dal has 8 times more nutrients and proteins. So it’s perfect for the people who are looking after building up their muscles.

As dal cannot be consumed individually we add extra veggies like cucumber to give crispy and coconut for chewy. To give little spiciness we even add green chillies but if you want to avoid it you can sprinkle black pepper powder.

It is a nutritious and flavorful salad made with cooked Bengal gram dal (chana dal) and fresh vegetables. Ingredients

  • Bengal gram dal Lentils – 2 cups
  • Onions chopped – 6 cups
  • Green chilly – 4 tsp
  • Fresh coconut finely chopped – 2 cups
  • Cucumber sliced – 1 cup
  • Salt – According to the taste
  • Coriander leaves – few leaves
  • Lemon juice – 1tsp

Instructions

How to Make Bengal Gram Dal Salad:

  1. Soak the Bengal Gram dal for at least 8 hours. Again wash the dal with fresh water and keep aside
  2. Grind the dal oddly

Tip: It’s better to grind with a hand putting in a stone grinder, make sure it’s not totally smashed

  1. Mix thoroughly ground dal, chopped onions, green chilly, sliced cucumber chopped coconut, salt and lemon juice

Tip: In place of green chilly you can replace with red chilly powder.

  1. Decorate it with coriander leaves and serve before meals.
