Ingredients

  • Spinach – 2 bunches
  • Sweet corn seeds – 1 cup
  • Jeera – 1 tbsp.
  • Onions – 2 sliced
  • Ginger paste – 1 tbsp.
  • Garlic paste – 1 tbsp.
  • Green chillies – 3 cut into small pieces
  • Milk – ¼ cup
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Oil – 1 tbsp.

Instructions

  1. Clean spinach in running water and cut them into pieces.
  2. Place these pieces into microwave safe bowl and cook for five minutes on high temperature.
  3. Once cooled grind to smooth paste and keep aside.
  4. Pour 1 ½ cup water and sweet corn seeds in microwave safe bowl and cook for five minutes on high temperature.
  5. In a safe bowl add oil, jeera, onions pieces, ginger and garlic pastes.
  6. Cook them on high temperature for 2 minutes.
  7. Add corn seeds, spinach paste, green chilies and salt to above.
  8. Cook further for 5 minutes on high flame without lid covered.
  9. At last add milk, mix all ingredients. Cook further for 2 minutes.
  10. Serve malai palak recipe hot with chapati.

Tip: If you feel this recipe has become a bit watery then you can add little all-purpose flour and mix so that you get a thick gravy.
