  3. Use a non-stick pan: Use a non-stick pan to prepare the halwa, as this will prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan and burning.

Ingredients

  • Chikoo fruits- 6
  • Milk – 1/2 teacup
  • Sugar – 1/4 cup
  • Khoya – 150 gms.
  • Cochineal essence – 2-3 drops
  • Ghee – 1 tbsp
  • Almond or walnut for garnishing

Instructions

How to Make Chickoo Halwa Recipe:

  1. Peel the skin of chikoo fruit, blend it to a fine paste.
  2. Boil the milk in a heavy saucepan.
  3. When the milk turns slightly thick, add khoya chikoo paste and cook, stirring in a uniform way.

  4. After some time add little ghee and sugar. Cook on low flame stirring continuously till ghee oozes out.
  5. Chickoo halwa is ready. Serve hot, garnished with almond or walnuts.
