Ridge gourd salad

 

Ridge gourd salad is one of the best raw diet recipes, people who are serious in losing their weight and maintain their sugar levels constant should try this Vegetable Salad, eating raw vegetables is always considered as a best practice. Doctors and dieticians prescribe always prescribe their patients to have at least one kind of Healthy Salads during a day.


Ingredients:

 

Fresh ridge gourd – 4 no.Ridge gourd salad

Pepper powder – required

Salt – required

Lemon Juice – required

 

Method:

 

  • Choose fresh (small in size) ridge gourd and peel the outer skin.
  • Cut them into thin circular pieces

 

Tip: Check the taste of the vegetable some of them may be sour and spoil ridge gourd salad recipe.

 

  • Now arrange these cut pieces on a plate and sprinkle pepper powder, salt and lemon juice and serve.

Vegetable Salad

Vegetable salad

 

We find many varieties of vegetables according to season. Raw vegetables are always given high priority in out diet as they have full nutritional values. It’s recommended to have raw vegetables every day. If Vegetable salad is made and had before meals you will cover any missing nutritional diet.



Ingredients:

 

Carrot – 2Vegetable Salad

Beet root – 2

Radish – 2

Cucumber – 2

Onion – 4

Tomato – 2

Lemon – 4

Coconut powder – 2 cups

Green chilly – 7

Ginger – small piece

Coriander leaves – small bunch

Pepper – As per taste(small amount)

Salt – As pre taste (small amount)

 

Method:

 

  • First wash beetroot, radish, cucumber, carrot and remove the outer layer of these vegetables
  • Cut the above vegetables into small pieces
  • Cut ginger, green chilly, Coriander leaves, onions and tomatoes into fine pieces
  • Take one hollow bowl and mix tomato, onions, cucumber, coconut powder, ginger and green chilly and apply required amount of salt
  • Later apply lemon juice and sprinkle pepper powder and coriander leaves above the mixture and serve.

 

Tip:   While serving you can decorate Tomatoes cut into rounds

You can also use carrot or beetroot or cucumber cut into vertically for decoration

You can use your liked vegetables in preparing vegetable salad

Bengal Gram Dal Salad

Bengal Gram Dal Salad

 

Salads are good for health. People think salad in different formats, either cooked or raw. In many cases we see salads are prepared using raw vegetables especially onions, lemon juice or vinegar etc.. In this branch I thought of preparing Bengal gram dal salad, as you all know soaked Bengal gram dal has 8 times more nutrients. So it’s perfect for the people who are looking after building up their muscles.



Ingredients:

 

Bengal gram dal (Lentils) – 2 cupsBengal gram dal salad

Onions (chopped) – 6 cups

Green chilly – 4 tsp

Fresh coconut (finely chopped) – 2 cups

Cucumber (sliced) – 1 cup

Salt – According to the taste

Coriander leaves – few leaves

Lemon juice – 1tsp

 

Method:

 

  • Soak the Bengal Gram dal for at least 8 hours. Again wash the dal with fresh water and keep aside
  • Grind the dal oddly

 

Tip: It’s better to grind with hand putting in a stone grinder, make sure it’s not totally smashed

 

  • Mix thoroughly grinded dal, chopped onions, green chilly, sliced cucumber chopped coconut, salt and lemon juice

 

Tip: In place of green chilly you can replace with red chilly powder.

 

  • Decorate it with coriander leaves and serve before meals
