Atte Ka SheeraAtte ka sheera is one of the easiest halwa recipes you can cook in your home at no time. This is a well-known Gujrathi sweet which is equipped with nutrition as atta halwa is made from whole wheat and ghee.

Ingredients:

Whole wheat flour – 1 cup

Sugar – 3/4 cup

Ghee – ½ cup (melted).

Cardamom powder – 1 tsp.

Chopped pista and almonds – 2 tsp.

Water – ¾ cup



Prepare Atte ka sheera:

 

  • Heat ghee on a non-stick pan and roast flour on low fire until it turns colour
  • On the other hand make sugar syrup by adding ¾ cup sugar with ¾ cup water (1:1) ratio.
  • When the sugar dissolves and flour turns its colour mix together and cook on low flame until water evaporates and ghee oozes out.
  • When Atte ka sheera is done, you can smell aroma. Garnish with chopped pista and almonds.

 

Tip: Take care between the time gap of water evaporation and ghee ozzing, during this time you will notice wheat is well cooked if not you may lose the flavour.
