Mango Lassi
Mango Lassi is a delicious and refreshing summer special drink. It is a combination of yogurt and milk. Aam lassi Recipe is one of the popular north Indian summer drink.

Maybe because of the flavor or texture, many people are fond of mangoes. April and May are the months where we find many variants of mangoes in local markets of India. Many people think mangoes produce heat in our body so as not to eat more, but in our case sweetness of mangoes are blended with the coolness of Yogurt.

Many people like to have smoothies chilled so they add ice cubes while blending. When it comes to health factor all things which are cooler than room temperature are not good for health. So I suggest not to make it chilled, just add a few ice cubes or refrigerate for 5 minutes and have them.

In order to enhance the flavor of Aam Lassi Recipe, I have added cardamom powder, you can even use rose water as an alternative and garnish with mint leaves.

Ingredients

Ingredients for Mango Lassi Recipe:

  • Curd/ Yogurt – 1 cup plain
  • Mango pulp – 1 cup
  • Sugar/ honey – 4 tbsp. sweetening agent
  • Milk – ½ cup
  • Cardamom powder – A pinch optional
  • Water - Required
  • Ice cubes - Required

Instructions

How to Make Mango Lassi Recipe:

  1. Blend mango pieces, curd/ yogurt, milk and honey for about 2 minutes

Tip: Adjust honey quantity based on the sweetness of fruit and yogurt.

    Tip: Wash mangoes thoroughly, nowadays traders are adding chemicals to ripen raw fruits which are harmful to your health. Also in order to reduce head from mangoes, one should keep this fruit in water for minimum of 15 minutes.

    1. Add water based on required consistency.
    2. Add ice cubes and pour mango lassi recipe in a tall glass.
    3. Garnish with cardamom powder.
